Nursing Team Supervisor

Job Summary

The Nursing Team Supervisor will oversee and coordinate nursing operations within the Alamata/Korem Project under MSF-Belgium. The role involves supervising nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, supporting emergency and critical healthcare services, and maintaining compliance with infection prevention and medical protocols. The successful candidate will also provide mentorship, strengthen teamwork, and contribute to efficient healthcare delivery in a humanitarian setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of nursing staff and ensure quality healthcare services.
• Monitor patient care standards and ensure compliance with MSF medical guidelines.
• Support emergency room (ER) and NICU operations effectively.
• Implement Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) measures within the facility.
• Coordinate medication and pharmacy management activities.
• Train, mentor, and support nursing staff to improve performance and teamwork.
• Prepare accurate reports, patient records, and operational documentation.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.
• Participate in emergency response and humanitarian healthcare activities.
• Promote patient safety, ethical practice, and professional conduct at all times.

Requirements

• BSc Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Valid professional nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising nursing teams, preferably in NICU and ER settings.
• Strong understanding of emergency healthcare and patient management.
• Knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) practices.
• Experience in pharmacy or medication management is advantageous.
• Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in multicultural environments.
