The Junior Crime Prevention and Investigation Officer is responsible for supporting airline security operations by preventing, detecting, and investigating crimes that may affect passengers, staff, aircraft, and company assets. The officer collects intelligence information, conducts investigations, and prepares detailed reports to support the safety and security of the airline and airport environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and identify potential security threats within airline operations.
- Conduct investigations related to theft, fraud, illegal activities, and security incidents.
- Gather and analyze intelligence information to prevent criminal activities.
- Interview witnesses, suspects, and employees when security incidents occur.
- Prepare detailed investigation reports and submit them to the management.
- Work closely with airport security, police authorities, and other law-enforcement bodies.
- Assist in implementing crime prevention policies and procedures.
- Monitor suspicious behaviors and activities in airport facilities and airline offices.
- Collect evidence and maintain proper documentation for investigation cases.
- Support internal audits and security risk assessments.
- Provide security awareness training for airline employees.
- Participate in emergency response and crisis management activities when required.
Qualification Requirements
- BA Degree in:Political Science & International Relations
- Law
- Police Management
- Criminology
- Management
- Crime Prevention / Crime Investigation or any related field from a recognized university.
Work Experience
- Minimum 2 years relevant work experience in:
Security investigation
Intelligence analysis
Crime prevention
Law enforcement or security operations.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Ability to gather and analyze security information.
- Good report writing and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and h.andle confidential information.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Basic knowledge of aviation security procedures is an advantage.
Language Requirement - Knowledge of English is mandatory.
Additional foreign languages are an advantage.
