Job Summary
The Humanitarian Access & Safety (HAS) Officer will support the safe and effective implementation of humanitarian programs. The role focuses on managing access, safety, and security operations, ensuring that field activities are conducted in a secure environment.
The position requires strong coordination, risk assessment skills, and the ability to work closely with field teams to ensure safe program delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety and Security Management
Support the implementation of safety and security procedures. - Assist in ensuring safe access to program locations.
- Monitor security situations and provide updates to teams.
- Risk Assessment and Analysis
Conduct regular risk assessments in operational areas. - Identify potential threats and recommend mitigation strategies.
- .Program Support
Ensure safe and secure delivery of humanitarian programs. - Work closely with field teams to maintain compliance with safety standards.
- Coordination and Communication
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders. - Maintain strong communication regarding safety and access issues.
Requirements
1–3 years of relevant experience (preferably in NGO or humanitarian settings).
Experience in safety, security, or humanitarian access roles.
Strong coordination and communication skills.
Good command of English.
Ability to work in challenging field environments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, International Relations, Peace & Conflict Studies, or a related field.
