The Assistant Industrial Mechanic supports the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment used in airline operations and industrial facilities. The role involves assisting senior mechanics in installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation. The position helps maintain equipment reliability and supports the overall technical operations of the organization.

   Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machines and mechanical equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and assist in troubleshooting equipment failures.
• Maintain oxygen generation plants and other industrial mechanical systems.
• Operate workshop tools and machinery safely and effectively.
• Replace or repair damaged machine parts and components.
• Ensure machines operate according to safety and operational standards.
• Keep maintenance records and prepare basic technical reports.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mechanical workshop.
• Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment when performing maintenance tasks.
• Assist senior technicians and engineers during major maintenance work.
• Participate in technical training and skill development programs.

  Qualification Requirements

College Diploma / Level III / Level IV    Certificate    in one of the following fields:

• Industrial Metal Fabrication
• Industrial Mechanics
• Machining Technology
• Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Electric Machine & Drive Technology
• Power Generation Technology
  or related technical field from a recognized institution.

Work Experience
Minimum 1 year relevant experience

• Industrial machine maintenance
  Mechanical workshop operations
  Oxygen plant operation or similar mechanical systems.

• Basic knowledge of industrial mechanical systems and equipment.
• Ability to use mechanical tools and workshop equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures.
