The Junior CCTV Surveillance Officer is responsible for monitoring and operating the closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of passengers, employees, aircraft, and company facilities. The officer observes real-time security footage, identifies suspicious activities, and reports incidents promptly to the relevant security authorities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor live CCTV camera feeds from different airport and airline facilities.
- Detect and report suspicious activities, security threats, or unauthorized access.
- Record and document incidents observed through surveillance systems.
- Coordinate with airport security officers and law enforcement agencies when security issues occur.
- Maintain and operate CCTV equipment and surveillance systems.
- Conduct routine checks to ensure all cameras and recording devices function properly.
- Review recorded footage when required for investigation purposes.
- Assist in crime prevention by identifying unusual patterns or behaviors.
- Maintain confidentiality of security information and surveillance records.
- Prepare daily and weekly surveillance reports for management.
- Support emergency response operations during security incidents.
Qualification Requirements
- Minimum College Diploma / Level III / Level IV Certificate in:
- Police Management
- Crime Investigation
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Hardware and Network Servicing
- Information Technology Support Services
- or related fields from a recognized college.
Work Experience
Minimum 1 year relevant experience in:
- CCTV surveillance
- Security monitoring
- Security control room operations
- or related security field.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Good observation and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to analyze security situations quickly.
Basic knowledge of CCTV surveillance systems and monitoring equipment. - Strong communication and reporting skills.
Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends. - Ability to remain alert and focused for long monitoring periods.
- Good teamwork and problem-solving skills.
