The HR Officer II is responsible for supporting and implementing human resource management functions of the company. The role focuses on recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training coordination, and maintaining HR policies in line with organizational goals and labor regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing HR strategies, policies, and procedures in accordance with company objectives.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process including vacancy announcements, screening applications, organizing interviews, and onboarding new employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR databases, and personnel files in compliance with company policies.
- Support performance management processes including performance appraisal coordination and follow-up.
- Facilitate staff training and development programs by identifying training needs and coordinating training activities.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies, procedures, and workplace issues.
- Assist in handling employee relations matters such as grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian labor laws and internal HR policies.
- Prepare HR reports related to staffing, attendance, turnover, and other HR metrics.
- Coordinate employee benefits, leave administration, and staff welfare programs.
- Support organizational development initiatives aimed at improving employee productivity and engagement.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Good knowledge of human resource management practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
