The Biology Lecturer is responsible for teaching Biology courses, conducting laboratory sessions, supporting student learning, and contributing to academic research and curriculum development at New Generation University College.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions in Biology courses.
- Develop course outlines, lesson plans, and instructional materials for Biology subjects.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and supervise students during practical sessions.
- Evaluate students’ performance through examinations, assignments, projects, and presentations.
- Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students in their studies and research work.
- Participate in curriculum development and improvement of Biology programs.
- Conduct research activities and contribute to academic publications when possible.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, grades, and academic progress.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and college activities.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment and biological materials.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Biology or a related field such as Applied Biology, Microbiology, or Biotechnology.
Work Experience
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a higher education institution or relevant academic environment.
