The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and rational use of medications. The role involves dispensing prescriptions, advising patients, maintaining drug inventory, and supporting overall pharmaceutical services in line with professional and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately review and dispense prescriptins in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Provide clear guidance to patients on medication use, dosage, side effects, and storage.
- Monitor prescriptions for potential drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation of all dispensed medicines
- Maintain and update inventory records; monitor stock levels and expiry dates.
- Participate in procurement and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines (temperature, humidity, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.
- Support pharmacovigilance activities and report adverse drug reactions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Follow all regulatory requirements and company policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- BSc Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
- 0 years or more relevant experience (fresh graduates can apply).
- Valid professional license (or eligibility to obtain license).
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs and medical terminology.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office and pharmacy systems).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and in shifts if required.
