The Pharmaceutical Sales Officer is responsible for promoting and selling the company’s pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals such as doctors, pharmacists, clinics, and hospitals.The role focuses on building strong client relationships, increasing product awareness, and achieving sales targets. The officer also monitors market trends, provides accurate product information, and supports the company’s overall sales and marketing objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote and detail pharmaceutical products to doctors, pharmacists, clinics, and hospitals
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare providers and key clients
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets within the designated territory
- Conduct regular field visits to customers and ensure consistent product availability
- Organize and participate in product presentations, medical detailing, and promotional campaigns.
- Provide accurate and up-to-date product information, including benefits, dosage, and side effects.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports and submit them to management
Coordinate with the marketing team to implement sales strategies and promotional plans. - Ensure compliance with ethical standards and company policies in all sales activities
Support product launches and assist in expanding the company’s market share.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, or related health field.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of pharmaceutical products and medical terminology.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office).
- Willingness to travel frequently within assigned areas.
