The Pharmacist/Druggist will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and rational use of medications within the health facility. The role involves dispensing prescriptions, advising patients and healthcare professionals, and maintaining proper pharmaceutical standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and provide clear usage instructions to patients.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and potential drug interactions.
- Provide professional advice on medication use, dosage, side effects, and storage.
- Maintain proper inventory control, including stock management, ordering, and expiry tracking.
- Ensure compliance with national pharmaceutical regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain proper documentation of controlled drugs and pharmacy records.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to optimize patient care.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper storage conditions in the pharmacy.
- Participate in health education and awareness programs when required.
