Job Summary
The Senior EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Coordinator will lead the planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of EMR systems across healthcare facilities under the Ministry of Health. The role focuses on strengthening digital health services, improving health data quality, ensuring system functionality, and supporting healthcare professionals in the effective use of electronic medical record platforms.
The successful candidate will collaborate with regional health bureaus, hospitals, software developers, and health informatics teams to improve healthcare data management and digital transformation initiatives nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate implementation and expansion of EMR systems in health facilities.
- Provide technical leadership and support for digital health projects.
- Monitor EMR system performance, data quality, and system utilization.
- Train healthcare workers and IT personnel on EMR usage and troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for EMR systems.
- Ensure data confidentiality, security, and compliance with health information policies.
- Collaborate with software developers and stakeholders to improve system functionality.
- Prepare periodic technical reports, implementation updates, and performance evaluations.
- Support interoperability between health information systems and databases.
- Conduct supportive supervision and field visits to project implementation sites.
- Assist in identifying infrastructure and technical requirements for EMR deployment.
- Participate in national digital health strategy implementation activities.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in one of the following fields:
- Health Informatics
- Information Systems
- Computer Science
- Software Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Digital Health
- Health Information Technology
- Related fields
Required Experience
- Proven experience in EMR/EHR system implementation and coordination.
- Experience in healthcare information systems and digital health projects.
- Strong understanding of database management and health data standards.
- Experience working with hospitals, health centers, or public health institutions is preferred.
- Previous experience in project coordination or technical leadership is an advantage.
