The Pharmacist will support health and nutrition programs by ensuring the availability, quality, and proper use of medicines and medical supplies. The role focuses on strengthening pharmaceutical services at health facilities and community level, ensuring compliance with national guidelines and donor requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications accurately in line with prescriptions and treatment guidelines
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies
  • Manage inventory, including stock monitoring, ordering, and reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of drug consumption and stock levels
  • Monitor expiry dates and ensure safe disposal of expired or damaged medicines
  • Provide counseling and education to patients on medication use and adherence
  • Support health facilities in implementing standard treatment protocols
  • Train and support health workers on pharmaceutical management practices
  • Ensure compliance with World Health Organization guidelines and national regulations
  • Participate in health program planning, monitoring, and evaluation activities
  • Prepare timely reports on pharmaceutical activities and stock status

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BPharm)
  • Valid professional license to practice
  • Minimum of 2–4 years relevant work experience (NGO experience is an advantage)
  • Strong knowledge of drug management and supply chain systems
  • Familiarity with public health programs
